Even more egregious, are those times when editors select photos which are entirely unrelated to the associated story.

Reuters runs two photo slides with the story; one, of a woman in distress being supported by a man with the caption:

No photos are provided depicting the psychological effects, property damage, or injuries sustained by Israeli civilians as a result of the Palestinian attacks.

By comparison, the United Nations estimates that

It's quite sickening when I watch BBC, CNN and others. Describing the anti-Israel vandals in Egypt [Sep. 2011] as "innocent protesters."
As if the 'ordinary' Islamo-Arabs lay out specific demands, certain details to be met.
Let's not skid off the truth, Israel is not welcome at all, in its entirety, even if Israel would spend the whole day giving candies to the Arabs.
Speaking of 'giving.' What exactly was the outcome when Israel gave, for example, Gaza, whereas Arab-Palestinians, never in history 'had' anything in the area - as a matter of fact? Only more Islamization, more Hamas acceptance [which was voted in following Israel's give-away] and pro-violence that targets innocent civilians, especially Israeli children. So let's not fool ourselves that Israeli's so-called "policies" are the real reasons.
Of course there will always be incidents [Arab-Palestinians have quite an easy job in creating incidents, all they have to do is shoot behind civilians upon Israelis], which will serve as matches. But the gasoline is there,
"Arab children are taught hatred of the Jews from their mother's milk"* *.
Or as a writer has put it:
Their complaints are pure hypocrisy anyway. The Islamic world does not hate Israel because they care about the human rights of the Palestinians. If they cared about human rights they would have human rights in their own countries. The Islamic world hates Israel because, well, essentially because they are Jews. If they were Muslims, doing exactly the same things, no one in the Arab world would care. The main reason people focus on Israel is because it involves Jews.
Fact is, as a writer in the WSJ writes:

It has been a long time since I took a peek in that paper, I apologize for being forced into it when meeting 2 relatives in a starbucks cafe, their flight was delayed, so the nytimes gained my attention, regrettably.

Here are glimpses of the "quality" newspaper:
1) Frontpage of the ("Jewish?") New York Times talks about strained relations between US-Israel, note, A) Mark Landler does not talk about frictions between Obama's administration and the Netanyahu's (A.K.A. naming the problem), but 'between US & Israel.'
B) It titles the flotilla ship (you know, that radical-Islamists IHH led boat that attacked violently the Israeli security and called: "Kill the Jews for Allah!" and "Go back to Auschwitz! prior to that), no more and no less but: "humanitarian aid."
2) Then, in the section: "Inside the Times" (p. 3, a summary of what awaits the reader...)
I notice briefly that Nicholas D. Kristof writes something... oh, wait where do I remember
that name from? Of course, that's the guy that wrote about the Arab slavery & genocide
on Africans in Darfur but never had the courage to name it what it is: Arab racism, writing and writing so much material about that calamity, yet always beating around the bushes (Mr. Honigman has criticized him, a lot, google it up). So, Am I interested in anything Mr. Kristof has to say? not really. [if he can't "see" the Arabs committing crimes against humanity in Africa, why would he see it in Arab-Palestine?] I didn't even bother to look "inside" his article that "criticizes" Israel's blockade over (Hamas' controlled) Gaza.
3) Obituaries... (p. 19) Do you ever think, the bias-virus can spread there as well, sure enough in the never impartial Nytimes, anything is possible. Do you have any idea who the "chosen one" was this week? believe it or not, [Mohammed Oudeh] the planner of the infamous anti-Israel massacre by Arab-Muslim "Palestinians" in 1972, the Munich murderous cold blooded attack on Israel's sport team [Why? "freedom fighters" of course].
So, Do you also know who provided the material for the "quality paper," it was an Arab in Ramallah, W.B [Khaled Abu Aker - whatever] "reporting..." about how "great of a father he was," [these loveable neutral guys always "report," never posting opinions of course, not surprisingly the 'Pallywood' term pops up suddenly) aren't
you intrigued as me to know how "wonderful" this low life murderer was?
In any case, all in all, a typical "dry" Sunday (wait until it gets interesting in Israel "Palestine"), and anti-Israel rant is all over it, and I barely had a chance to really 'read' the times. My family members appeared, thank you very much. I think I'll pass, (Ma'am) Can I have 2 cappuccinos, to go, please?
I still notice how racist Arabists and Nazi KKK/supremacists call that paper "jewish," not sure why, for all it is, it's one staunch Arabist paper, certainly no better than the BBC,
who openly admitted a few years back of being biased against Christianity & against Israel.
I take it back, What a stupid question to wonder about haters' "facts?"

1) Sad note: Whatever happened to the prestigious newspaper, the last 10-15 Years or so...?
2) Reality note: I guess there's a real logic behind the huge loss of subscription, on top of deep disapppointing "opinions," its bias has already reached a dreadful boring (not boiling) point - yawn!

Islamic butchers know all too well they succeed toying with their kids on their death cult’s death beds, no matter how you will explain the real cause how their civilians die, they are experienced in the power of ‘a picture is worth a thousand words’ when it comes to blooded Arab bodies.
What is the responsibility of the MSM BBC, CNN in serving the conveyer of these orchestrated images, Images that enrage the world against Israel who is nothing but a defender of it’s people?
The media owe’s itself the professionalism not to show these images.
1) One can not take ‘Palestinian’ word for anything, much less about accuracy of photos or numbers of the so called “civilians’, we have been here before [we still remember the inflated "numbers" in Jenin including added bodies].
2) These images influence anyone’s mind (or heart), it is the most horrendous form of bias!
3) By showing these photos you guys are aiding Islamic Hamas (like Hezbollah), which is to bring about dead Arab kids to parade with them on world stage.
4) Moreover it is you who is (also) fueling Jihadism’s best tool of: “We Muslims are victims of the west”.

Watching CNN Correspondents [

More worrisome was the description of a mafia like environment, where such thugs provides "security" for journalists, with all the terrible implication this "protectionism" entails.
The question is of course how can anyone take a "report" seriously when it's done by those stationed in the terrorist no-law land like west bank & Gaza at 'Palestine' terrorizing authority, imagine if you could have obtained a recording where the PA authority (that has a bloody history of threatening journalists foreign or even 'Palestinian' ones) tells Ben Wederman of the CNN openly and bluntly: 'You better report in the "strict" line of our propaganda only, or else you have no place here!' alternatively, how can any logical person not prefer a report done by the Israeli democratic free press side?

[INTERNATIONAL] Today, journalism students, in our course, "Absolutely Introductory Basic Rules of Journalism, we will discuss the absolutely introductory basic rules of journalism. I don't think I'm an old fogey but in my hazy memories of the good old days I think there was a time when reporters were supposed to represent both sides of the story. I hear some gasps of amazement in the classroom. Yes, it is true. Nowadays we are more enlightened and the process goes something like this:
1. Decide which side is the good guys. This can be based on your ethnic-communal background (unless you are Jewish since then you must lean over backward to prove yourself fair by supporting the other side), political ideology, or--if all else fails--whichever side is weaker. (The word "underdog" might not be PC any more so I will avoid it.)
2. Slant your article completely in favor of the "good guys" because they are after all the good guys. Writing an advocacy article for them is thus a good and moral deed. There can be no compromise with evil and since the bad guys lie all the time why even bother to listen to their arguments.
Incidentally, questions of past credibility are irrelevant. If one side can be shown to have lied repeatedly that doesn't count. Pointing this out could get you accused of racism or imperialism, while the "good guys," once so designated, are allowed to lie because they are pursuing a "good cause." Governments are held to lie always, especially if they are democratic ones.
While the above is written to be humorous and is no doubt somewhat exaggerated it does give a pretty good idea about the genesis of all too many newspaper articles nowadays.
Consider, for example, Dalia Nammari, "Israel curbs Palestinian building on disputed land," AP. The article has 1,107 words long which by contemporary standards is quite long. Number of words used to explain Israel's position: 76. Number of words used to advocate the Palestinian cause? You do the math.
Basically, as so often happens, the reporter serves as the mouthpiece for one side (it always seems to be the same side) in language calculated to tug at the readers' heart-strings. Here's the lead:
"AQABEH, West Bank - The elders of this West Bank village hold their meetings under a carob tree, sitting on boulders arranged in a circle. It looks idyllic, but is born of necessity, the council doesn't have a meeting hall."
"Aqabeh, home to 299 people, has never received Israeli construction permits despite many requests, its mayor says. After losing a battle in Israel's Supreme Court in April, the village now lives with the threat of seeing 37 of its 47 structures demolished, according to a U.N. count. That includes 27 homes, a clinic, a mosque and a kindergarten that was co-financed by a U.S. charity, the Building Alliance. All were built illegally, Israel says."
Let's stop here a moment and rest under the shade of that carob tree. Israel's Supreme Court has often ruled against the Israeli government. For example, in response to Palestinian suits, the route of the security fence has often been altered at great expense to the Israeli taxpayer so as to make the lives of Palestinians easier. (Occupying powers usually don't let people from the side carrying out terrorist attacks against them to sue and win in court. Why, that might even be a good topic for a 1,107 word article some day!)
Why, then, did these villagers lose in court? The reporter might be expected to tell us, but that could ruin this touching story.
The article continues:
"Aqabeh's plight is similar to scores of Palestinian villages in `Area C,' the nearly two-thirds of the West Bank that remained under full Israeli control following a 1990s interim agreement with the Palestinian leadership."
Very cute. But wait a minute. Perhaps the reporter could tell us what percentage of the West Bank villagers live under Israeli rule in Area C. If we are talking about villages (not the town of Hebron) I would suspect the answer would not be much above 1 percent.
But wait, the article continues:
"On that land are Israel's 121 West Bank settlements, as well as military bases. But so are 150 Palestinian villages, home to tens of thousands of people."
So which is it? The answer is that even if villages are located in Area C, local control in most cases belongs to the PA, not Israel.
Note the deliberate dishonesty: yes, lots of land is in Area C but by the Oslo agreement's design Israel has full control over unpopulated land. Virtually all the villages are under Palestinian Authority (PA) rule.
And by the way, what is the housing situation for 99 percent of the West Bank villages? I would bet that they either have to pay off PA officials or just do what they want without regard to regulations.
But in one of the two sentences in which Israeli officials are allowed to speak, we get an interesting hint about that:
"Maj. Peter Lerner, an Israeli military spokesman, said demolition orders are usually issued early in cases of illegal construction, but are often ignored by residents."
So in fact Israel does not try to enforce these orders most of the time.
Why would Israeli authorities try to stop buildings from being constructed? The article tells us it is pure meanness or because it wants to take lands in future. But the overwhelming main reason for such denials is that the buildings would be close to roads or in other strategic locations where they could be used for ambushes. We aren't told this, in fact there is no mention of the fact that the Palestinian side is carrying out a war on Israel involving terrorism, which makes conditions significantly different than in a peaceful environment.
To a large extent, this article is merely an extended version of an interview with the village's mayor who is allowed to say whatever he wants, no matter how fantastic. For example, he says:
"Since Israel occupied the West Bank in 1967 eight villagers have been killed by stray bullets or by picking up unexploded munitions, and 42 have been wounded. The Israeli military could not confirm those numbers."
Now there are 299 people in the village. We are to believe that 50 of them--which would in practice mean one person in each family--has been killed or wounded by Israeli bullets. Is there any documentation for this? Are there any newspaper clippings, reports to humanitarian organizations, etc? And if so why aren't these cited.
I feel confident in suggesting that the mayor is lying and that the reporter is going along with the lies. As an Arab proverb goes: "How do you know it is a lie? Because it is so big."
Or this one:
"Aqabeh Mayor Sami Sadiq says Israeli officials told residents in 2004 that only buildings in the center, on 3 percent of the village's land area, would be safe from demolition. If all demolitions are carried out, two-thirds of the village's residents would be left homeless, he said."
Well, did they or is this a propaganda fantasy? The important thing to remember here is the test of logic. The village must be many decades, even centuries, old. So does this mean that 97 percent of the village dates from the last few years? It appears to be nonsense.
The article states, "Sadiq has been confined to a wheelchair since being hit by three stray bullets while cultivating his family's land in 1971, he said." Well, it should have been easy for the reporter to check this out since he would have filed compensation claims with the Israeli government. There would be documentation.
Sadiq's credibility doesn't strike me as being too good:
"In the past four decades, some 700 residents have left Aqabeh because of the many troubles, he said, mostly moving to neighboring villages outside of Area C that have approved zoning plans and where it is easier to build."
So there were 1,000 residents and now there are 300 but--let's use our brains, people--if that were true the village wouldn't need to be expanding, would it? Seventy percent of its housing would be empty. It would look like a ghost town. So why didn't the reporter mention this?
Why go on with more examples? This is nonsense on the face of it. In a world where professional standards applied, AP would be humiliated at making mistakes unacceptable in a high school newspaper. The reporter would be immediately fired and a stern memo sent to all staff members on avoiding such stupidities in future.
I must be an old fogey because I keep expecting things like this to happen.
And what really scares me is that I didn't even have to go hunting to find such propaganda masquerading as journalism--it was the first article I read in a 25-page compilation of AP stories.

In the December 15, 2007 Headlines news, the CNN's anchor Shihab Rattansi (http://www.cnn.com/CNN/anchors_reporters/rattansi.shihab.html) interpreted [as opposed to real reporting] the tenths of thousands mainstream guilty Palestinian Arabs in the pro-Hamas rally, where they chanted support for the pro-mass-murder party, with typical of that death cult vocabulary, words like "Hamas isn't afraid of death".
Worst did he do, as so outrageously he didn't stop there, he dared used what the bloody terrorists themselves "claim" in their propaganda, he added the dreadful words: "...the political movement Hamas, the uprising against the Israeli occupation".
What "occupation" is Hamas against, even if one would buy the notion that the 1967 borders are considered "occupied territories" (though there was never a "Palestine" Arab sovereign nation, si "who" exactly is Israel supposedly "occupying", but let's assume that Pallywood term just for the sake of the argument, since the "Palestinians" have alraeady won in their propagnada to establish the 1967 added territories as "occupation"), since they want all of the land (just before they finalize their Caliphate global domination ultimate goal).

(IsraelNN.com) http://CAMERA.org - the Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America - has published a detailed, scathing attack on the two-hour television program "God's Jewish Warriors."
CNN's Christiane Amanpour is the creator of a three-part CNN television series entitled "G-d's Warriors." The segment on Jews is the "most poisonously biased and factually shoddy feature to air on mainstream American television in recent memory," writes CAMERA's Executive Director Andrea Levin - and supports her claim with examples and refutations.
Levin begins by attacking the basic premise of the series, which purports to examine how Jewish, Christian and Muslim religious beliefs impact on the Middle East and the world. It is "deeply false," she writes, to equate "Jewish (and Christian) religious fervency with that of Muslims heard endorsing 'martyrdom,' or suicide-killing. There is, of course, no counterpart among Jews and Christians to the violent jihadist Muslim campaigns underway across the globe... To demonstrate the supposed threat of Jewish fundamentalism, the few cases of Jewish terrorism - a handful spanning decades with each one overwhelmingly denounced by Israeli society and with those involved arrested, tried and jailed - are elaborated on at length and cast as a profound peril."
Illegal, Illegal
Levin then focuses on Amanpour's repeated emphasis on the Jewish towns in Judea and Samaria and their supposed illegality - implying that just as extremist Moslems endanger the world with their terrorism, so do the Jews with their "settlements."
"Throughout," writes Levin, "Amanpour hammers the claim that Jewish settlements violate international law, and she seeks to paint this position as a universally accepted view with a lopsided parade of like-minded commentators. [However,] many legal scholars argue these communities are, in fact, legal... Such experts include Meir Shamgar, former Israeli Supreme Court Justice, internationally renowned legal scholar Professor Julius Stone and Former Under Secretary of State Eugene Rostow, among others. But not one scholar of this viewpoint is given voice in a two-hour feature largely devoted to decrying settlements and their residents."
Levin then moves on to Amanpour's presentation of US presidents speaking against the Jewish towns. "Ronald Reagan [is seen] making a tangential comment framed as agreeing" that "substantial resettlement of the Israeli civilian population in occupied territories, including East Jerusalem, is illegal," Levin writes - while in fact, Reagan did not agree at all. Levin quotes Reagan, based on a February 1981 New York Times story, as having said explicitly, "I believe the settlements there... they're not illegal."
More Errors
Others of the report's errors and deceptions noted by Levin:
* Jimmy Carter, whose recent incendiary allegations against Israel have been extensively debunked, declares that no Member of Congress could vote against aid to Israel "and hope to be reelected." Amanpour does not remind him or the viewers of the numerous Members who have opposed aid to Israel and have been repeatedly reelected, including Senate Majority leader Robert Byrd and more than a dozen Representatives.
* Amanpour claims that former Pres. Bush opposed loan guarantees for Israel but collapsed under the weight of Jewish pressure and backed down. In fact, however, when Yitzchak Rabin was elected prime minister, he offered concessions that satisfied the Administration - such that it was Israel that back-tracked, not Bush.
* Amanpour declares that "the 40-year tug of war over Jerusalem began when Israel bulldozed the Arab neighborhood next to the Western Wall and built a plaza where Jews now pray." Levin: "Obviously, the modern battle over Jerusalem "began" 60 years ago when the Arabs attacked in 1948 to destroy the newborn state of Israel, seizing the eastern side of Jerusalem, including the Jewish quarter of the old city. Every Jew was expelled or killed and all synagogues destroyed. Thereafter for 19 years, no Jew could pray at the Western Wall, and Christians had limited access to their holy sites."
"CNN needs to correct every error and slander against Israel and its American supporters," Levin demands. "More importantly, it needs to air an accurate and contextual documentary on these subjects, just as lavishly funded and promoted as Amanpour's, that will set the record straight."
Another CAMERA article comparing the "Warriors" programs on Jews and Muslims notes that while the former was heavily devoted to "the influence of pro-Israel activists in America, ... Amanpour utterly neglected to report on the powerful Oil Lobby, primarily Saudi-backed, and numerous other Muslim organizations seeking to influence American public opinion and foreign policy decisions."
Four Times More
CAMERA notes fascinatingly that Amanpour "harps on the phrase 'Jewish warriors,' repeating it 20 times in the first episode," while mentioning "Muslim warriors" only four times in the second program. "Why does she utter the words 'Jewish warrior' five times more often than 'Muslim warrior' when violent Muslims have inflicted thousands of times more death and destruction in the world than violent Jews have?"
Furthermore, "There was a noticeably gentler and more cordial tone toward Muslim extremists, in contrast to the often snide and hectoring tone displayed toward pro-Israel Americans and Israeli settlers."
"Amanpour included two apolitical segments with appealing devout Muslim women," CAMERA wrote, "who talked about why they wear a head covering and how Islam enriches their lives. No such apolitical segment about devout Jews appeared in 'God's Jewish Warriors.'"

- Exactly How many Muslims or Muslim organizations [that are so worry about their image or of their 'prophet's] have protested against the masses of Muslims on the 'Cartoon -Jihad' rampage (2006), calling Europe a cancer and threatening a "9/11" on Europe?
- Not one of the few courageous Muslims that speak out for real overall reform, for disliking westerners, for sympathy for Israel the victim, for about [all] Muslims regimes' crimes on their own people, have been shielded from any major Muslim organization (including such as CAIR - http://anti-cair-net.org), from the menace of death threats Fatwas by Muslim clerics.
Let's make it clear, even if there will be a "Palestine" state, it will
never change the factual history, that a group of foreign Arab immigrants came
into the (historic) land of the Jews (and started to call themselves as "Palestinians"
in the 1960's) and hijacked the world comunity via terrorism and
Arab oil power to give them yet a second 'Palestine' state (after Jordan).
ISRAEL VS UN'S ANTI ISRAEL BIAS
Israel should have [a long time ago] press the UN for:
1) Condemming Arab Muslim 'Palestinian' parents, teachers, leaders, Mullahs, for using Arab kids as human shields and as human bombs, clarifying the real culprits in Arabs' deaths.
2) Violations by ILLEGAL PA Arabs "settlers" on Israel's "agreed" borders by the UN.
3) "Palestinian" Violation of virtually ALL agreemants pacts with Israel (Oslo, Camp David, etc.).
4) The PA official media & education = hate (crimes) campaign on "the joos", (not just on Israel...).
5) Exposing the constant intimdation on nations by the GOLIATH ARAB MUSLIM (oil) block, to tarnish innocent Israel in the UN.
