In 5594 (1834), Hebron met with a heavy calamity, since it was taken by storm on the 28th day of Tamuz (July), by Abraim Pacha, and given up to his soldiers for several days. One can better imagine than describe the scenes which were then enacted. Nearly all the Mahomedan inhabitants fled into the depth of the mountain range, but the Jews could not do this; besides which, they entertained but little fear, since they could not be viewed as rebels and enemies by Abraim, wherefore they fell an easy prey into the hands of the assailants. When the Pacha marched out to take Hebron, a petition was presented to him by the officers of the Jewish congregation in Jerusalem to take these unfortunate people under his protection, which he faithfully promised to do; but, notwithstanding this, they were not spared at the taking of the town, so that five Jews were purposely murdered, and all their property which had not. been buried under ground was either stolen or destroyed in the most wanton and cruel manner. Abraim did then indeed place a guard around their quarter of the town, but it was too late; and he said, "Whatever is already in the hands of the conquerors, the soldiers, cannot be demanded back again of them;" wherefore the whole Jewish community was sunk into poverty.

Klein, Chairman of the Board Dr Michael Goldblatt, and Dr. Daniel Mandel, Director of the ZOA Center for Middle East Policy have issued the following statement:

“We are shocked and deeply concerned by the deployment of 3,000 Israeli armed personnel of the Jewish state of Israel to evict two Jewish families from their homes and destroy the holy place of worship, the Shalhevet Pass synagogue, named in commemoration of the ten-month-old baby murdered by a Palestinian Authority (PA) sniper in 2001. At a time when little or no action is being taken by the Olmert government against deadly Arab terrorists incessantly firing rockets into Israel (causing one half of the town of Sderot to flee for their lives) and smuggling offensive weaponry into Gaza, it is spending its finite resources and energy to evict Jews from their homes and denying permits that have been promised to them by the IDF Commander of Forces in Judea and Samaria, General Yair Golan. One must ask why the government seems intent on evicting these heroic Jewish families from their small dilapidated homes with maximum show of force. Some have suggested it is for political reasons in order to galvanize support from Israel’s left-wing, Olmert’s only remaining possible supporters.

“Worse, the Israeli government claims to be enforcing the law against residents promised permits by the IDF, a promise that was subsequently and arbitrarily breached by the government. These homes, incidentally, were built on the site of originally Jewish-owned property which was destroyed following the Hebron massacre in 1929, in which 67 Jews were murdered.

“In the meantime, against illegal Arab housing construction occurring all over Judea and Samaria and in other parts of Israel including Jerusalem, the Olmert government continues to do almost nothing and pretends the problem doesn’t exist. Much of this illegal housing is funded by Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Morocco and other Arab states in an effort to move towards de-Judaizing Israel and Jerusalem......

Haj Mohammad Amin al-Husseini was a brilliant agitator and former Customs officer in the small Palestinian Arab town of Qalqilia who went on to become grand mufti of Jerusalem, the official “priest” and pre- eminent political leader of the Arabs. From his earliest years, Husseini was a ferocious opponent of Jewish immigration to Palestine.

During the Muslim festival of Nebi Musa on April 4, 1920, Haj Mohammad Amin’s followers went on a murderous rampage and, “inflamed by anti-Jewish diatribes, began attacking Jewish passers-by and looting Jewish stores.” He was subsequently convicted by a British military tribunal of inciting the violence, in which five Jews and four Arabs were killed and 211 Jews and 21 Arabs wounded.

After skipping bail, Haj Mohammad Amin took refuge in western Palestine and was sentenced in absentia to ten years in prison. The leader of the hastily organized Jewish self-defense force, Vladimir Jabotinsky, received a 15-year jail sentence for halting the killing spree.

But Haj Mohammad Amin was ferociously opposed to any form of cooperation between Jews and Arabs, which the fledging Zionist movement was trying actively to promote. When young Arab and Jewish intellectuals established “an evening school for the teaching of Hebrew to the Arabs, Arabic to the Jews, and English to both,” al -Husseini intervened to kill the project within a year.

His opposition to the Jews was unrelenting. “Remember, Abbady,” he told a local official who came from an old Jewish family in Jerusalem, “this was and will remain an Arab land. We do not mind you Jewish natives of the country, but those alien invaders, the Zionists, will be massacred to the last man. We want no progress, no prosperity [deriving from Jewish immigration]. Nothing but the sword will decide the future of this country.”

That may be the single most telling statement any Arab leader has made to explain the deep, unacceptable challenge Arabs feel when faced by the success of the Jews.

Haj Mohammad Amin al-Husseini emerged from hiding not long after his trial. In recognition of his status among the Palestinian Arabs, the British mandatory authorities disregarded his record of incitement and appointed him grand mufti in 1922.

But instead of calming the population, as the British seemed to wish, he led a second massacre of Jews on Aug. 23, 1929, in Hebron, where Jewish immigrants had established a thriving community on the site of Judaism’s second most holy city. Given al-Husseini’s new official status, the commission of inquiry appointed by the British Colonial Office treated him “with exceptional consideration,” allowing him to testify behind closed doors at his own home.

Did you hear one mainstream Arab Muslim leader or groups denuncing the Islamic Hitler of Iran's calls for annihilation of an entire nation, calling for a new Holocaust while denying the previous one and his calls for death to: US & the UK? [PS, he just made a tour (May-2006) among "moderate" Muslim nations that only cheered him on. ]

Exactly How many Muslims or Muslim organizations [that are so worry about their image or of their 'prophet's] have protested against the masses of Muslims on the 'Cartoon -Jihad' rampage (2006), calling Europe a cancer and threatening a "9/11" on Europe?

Not one of the few courageous Muslims that speak out for real overall reform, for disliking westerners, for sympathy for Israel the victim, for about [all] Muslims regimes' crimes on their own people, have been shielded from any major Muslim organization (including such as CAIR - http://anti-cair-net.org), from the menace of death threats Fatwas by Muslim clerics.

Let's make it clear, even if there will be a "Palestine" state, it will never change the factual history, that a group of foreign Arab immigrants came into the (historic) land of the Jews (and started to call themselves as "Palestinians" in the 1960's) and hijacked the world comunity via terrorism and Arab oil power to give them yet a second 'Palestine' state (after Jordan).

ISRAEL VS UN'S ANTI ISRAEL BIAS

Israel should have [a long time ago] press the UN for:
1) Condemming Arab Muslim 'Palestinian' parents, teachers, leaders, Mullahs, for using Arab kids as human shields and as human bombs, clarifying the real culprits in Arabs' deaths.
2) Violations by ILLEGAL PA Arabs "settlers" on Israel's "agreed" borders by the UN.
3) "Palestinian" Violation of virtually ALL agreemants pacts with Israel (Oslo, Camp David, etc.).
4) The PA official media & education = hate (crimes) campaign on "the joos", (not just on Israel...).
5) Exposing the constant intimdation on nations by the GOLIATH ARAB MUSLIM (oil) block, to tarnish innocent Israel in the UN.
